ALBERTON GORGE

Missoula rafting doesn’t get any better than the Alberton Gorge of the Clark Fork River, Missoula’s crown jewel of white water rafting, lined with spectacular canyon walls, wildlife, and loads of fabulous rapids! This section of river is filled with numerous Class I-III drops that offer excitement from May through August. With names like Davey Jones’s Locker, Triple Bridges, Tumbleweed, Boat Eater, and Fang, the rapids will keep your attention between the easier pools that line the length of the canyon. Due to the large volume nature of the Clark Fork River and its stream bed, you will always find enough water for a good time in the Alberton Gorge, even when other rivers in the surrounding area have long since slowed to a trickle or just dried up.

Our headquarters, Crystal Springs overlooks the Alberton Gorge and is our base of operations. This gives us the advantage of keeping an eye on the river’s action and beauty — right from our doorstep. Our location also makes last minute changes easy. We encourage guest to hang out, enjoy the view, and relax on one of our decks overlooking the river.   We can also offer the option of post-float barbecues, great for family get-togethers or company outings.  Come visit us for a day of whitewater on the Gorge.  We’ve got expert guides in the Alberton Gorge every day, all summer long!

BLACKFOOT RIVER

The Blackfoot River offers great Montana white water rafting, adding amazing scenery and wildlife to the fun. Mossy rock, ponderosa pines, and crystal clear water make the Blackfoot a popular spot among Missoulians.  The river is classified as Class I-II(III) whitewater. Close to Missoula, the Blackfoot River is easily accessible for a half-day float or full-day float. Traveling through the beautiful Blackfoot River Corridor, our guides will work to keep you safe and dry or steer you through the wettest ride possible — it’s all up to you. In May and early-June the river can run fast and high for a more exciting ride or, if you wish, toward the mid-summer months the water drops for a more casual summer ride emphasizing fun swimming holes, lots of sun, and a meandering stream bed through the Montana wilderness.
