Overview

The Sunset Float is two hours of slow water, alpenglow, and Missoula's best evening light. We launch in the late afternoon and time the trip so you're on the river as the sun drops behind the Bitterroots, lighting up the canyon walls and the cottonwoods along the bank. The water is gentle the whole way — perfect for a glass of something cold, a camera, or a quiet conversation. Wildlife moves at dusk on the Clark Fork: osprey hunting the riffles, deer drinking at the banks, the occasional otter. Your guide does the rowing; you do the watching.
