Thank you for your interest in joining the Zoo Town Surfers team!
Locally owned and operated since 2004.
Zoo Town Surfers is looking to hire a diverse group of guides who want to spend time on the river and immerse themselves into the local river community. We look forward to growing our team with professional, fun, enthusiastic, and hard-working river professionals.
We specialize in custom river adventures. We take pride in being a small company, allowing us to focus on the details, which our customers deserve and expect.
Guiding Requirements
We are actively seeking guides and instructors for the upcoming season. Preference will be given to guides and instructors who want to grow with our company and are interested in earning certification across multiple disciplines.
ZTS plans to offer rafting, kayaking, packrafting, and river surfing this summer. With this variety of offerings, the interest/ability to work across multiple activities will give our guides and instructors more opportunities to pick up trips!
- Lochsa Guide Training — First week of May. Raft guide trainees (with the intention of working for ZTS on the Clark Fork and Blackfoot) will have the opportunity to join Lochsa Training as a learning and teambuilding experience.
- ZTS Raft Guide School (for first-year guides): June 3, 4, 5, 6. $400 ($100 refund if you work the entire season for Zoo Town Surfers)
- We are working to schedule Wilderness First Aid and CPR classes that align with our training schedule.
- A Swiftwater Rescue Class and an ACA Packraft Instructor class are also in the works to follow training.
- River Surfing training will be offered to all instructors who are interested.
