TOP 3 LAKES TO SUP AROUND MISSOULA MONTANA
There are a chain of lakes located just east of Missoula on the Clear Water River along HWY 83 that offer great views and easy access. Hwy 83 is the most scenic route if you’re heading to Flathead Lake or Glacier National Park

Harpers Lake: It’s a small lake with easy access, no-motorized use, and great views. This is a great lake if you’re a total beginner.
Salmon Lake: This is a beautiful lake located at about 3,917 feet in elevation is much bigger than Harpers Lake. Although there is motorized use on this lake, you never feel crowded. Grab the BBQ, board, and swim trunks and head on up to Salmon Lake. This is car camping and SUPin at its best!
Seeley Lake: This lake is the biggest of the 3 and is surrounded by the Mission and Swan mountain ranges.
