Scenic Trips
If you are looking for sightseeing, wildlife viewing, or just plain relaxation, the Blackfoot, Clark Fork, and Bitterroot Rivers all offer beautiful stretches, with various options depending on how long your party would like to be on the river.

The following river excursions describe the best scenic sections in the
Blackfoot
Float through a section of Montana’s classic Blackfoot River Corridor northeast of Missoula to enjoy crystal clear water and great wildlife viewing. Winding through some of the state’s most pristine wilderness, made famous by Norman Maclean’s book A River Runs Through It, the Blackfoot is ripe with excellent swimming holes, fish, birds, scenery, and fun.
Full-day, half-day, and afternoon trips are available and vary in popularity according to the time of year, water levels, and each group’s interests. Call us and we will be happy to tell you what options may coincide best with your desired trip dates.
Clark Fork
The Clark Fork River is Missoula’s largest waterway, with several terrific sections for scenic floats. Spectacular canyon walls and wildlife characterize our full-day trip on the Alberton Gorge west of Tarkio, which offers a peaceful float and scenic views late into the summer and fall. Our afternoon trip begins above Missoula at the historic Milltown Dam and is the easiest way to cool off and relax on a hot summer afternoon. The trip then ends downtown where a short stroll will take you to any number of our finest restaurants and bars for an evening only Missoula can offer.
