HOURLY INSTRUCTION
Zoo Town Surfers understands that sometimes you just can’t take the entire day off or free up a whole weekend. Whether you’re a total beginner, looking to perfect the Eskimo roll, or learn some new freestyle moves at Brennan’s Wave, hourly kayak lessons is the answer to your busy schedule. Our expert kayak instructors combined with clear and concise teaching techniques will allow you to progress quickly and safely to the next level.

BIG SKY BEGINNER PACKAGE
Ever taken a kayak lesson or class and wondered what the next step was to becoming a whitewater kayaker? The answer is our Big Sky Beginner Package. This efficient and discounted package will allow students learn over a series of 6 two hour lessons. The package allows up to 4 students, so invite some friends and family to learn with you. Learning with a group of friends or family is great because when you’re done with the lessons you already have a kayaking crew to go practice and kayak with.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Our instructors at Zoo Town Surfers understand that everyone has a different learning curve and if more personalized instruction is what you’re looking for then Zoo Town Surfers can work with you on an individual or small group basis. When selecting private kayak instruction with Zoo Town Surfers, you will be matched with one of our expert instructors who will work with you to find out where your skills are and create a lesson plan that is tailored specifically to your needs and goals.

2 DAY INTRO CLINICS
Learn how to kayak “sunny side up” by signing up for a 2 day intro kayaking clinic with Zoo Town Surfers. These clinics will give you a solid introduction to the sport of whitewater kayaking. Our clinics begin at Frenchtown Pond or Sandy Beaches where we start with an equipment overview and then introduce the class to whitewater kayaking skills such as the wet exit, strokes/braces, hip snaps, and T-rescues. In the afternoon, we head to the river and paddle a Class I section of either the Blackfoot or Clark Fork River, depending on water levels. On the river we focus on river safety, boat control, eddy turns, ferries, and the Eskimo roll. The following day we apply everything we have learned and paddle a section of the Clark Fork or Blackfoot River.
